Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a BE/BC Interventional Cardiologist to join an established practice in Ottumwa, Iowa serving 8 counties with over 100,000 people.   This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and to elevate the Cardiology service to have 24/7 STEMI coverage.   Ottumwa Regional Health Center has a full service Cardiac Catheterization Lab where a variety of coronary and vascular procedures are performed, including diagnostic and interventional caths, coronary FFR/IVUS, cardioversion, cardiac event monitor implantation, peripheral angiography, peripheral PTA/Stenting/Atherectomy and balloon pump insertion and removal with a specialized inpatient care team. The candidate will also conduct TEE’s, temporary pacemaker insertion, a variety of diagnostic studies, and perform inpatient and emergency consultations.  There will also be a need to see patients in the clinic for general cardiology issues.  The position opening is to meet the demands of a growing service line and to expand access.  Ottumwa Regional Health Center is surrounded by smaller hospitals that need additional Cardiology services, so some outreach clinics may be developed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.   Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.   Candidate will work collaboratively with the medical staff to coordinate and deliver the highest level of patient care.
